Government according to social sciences points out to specific group comprising of individuals as well as administrative bureaucracy that keeps control of the written law at a particular point of time. They also supervise the manner in which it is used for the structuring of governing organizations. Governments are considered as the means by which employment of state power is carried out. The services to the states are offered by unremitting sequence of varied governments.  Every following government is comprised of privileged as well as specialized body of people, who tend to monopolize biased decision-making. The separation is done by organizations as well as status from population at large. They work towards enforcing existing laws, arbitrate conflicts through monopoly exercised on violence as well as legislation of new laws.

With the ease of the quick-swipe method of credit and debit cards, many of us are opting for what is faster and easier rather than using cash for everyday purchases. Some people still use cash, but what many don’t realize is that paying for items with cash has its advantages over using a credit or debit card.

Most people only carry a limited amount of cash, if any. It might be 50 dollars or it could be as much as 200 dollars. If you have a budget set in place for yourself or your family, using cash for purchases makes it much easier to keep from going over the amount allowed by your budget. Having to fish cash from your wallet may take a few seconds more than swiping a debit/credit card, but just think of the money you could be saving by staying under your spending limit!

In some cases, using a credit/debit card can’t be avoided, but most times, it can. If you have large payments due for things like a house or car, why not have them taken directly from your bank account? Society and Drug Abuse

The biggest challenges facing the authorities and many parents of the country is the ever increasing numbers of drug abuse patients in this country. Though a lot of pre-emptive action is being taken, still the numbers seem to be going up every day. The menace of drug abuse is not restricted to just the family whose children are suffering from it, but on a larger platform it is a big problem for the society also. Hence, all right thinking people should come on a single platform and try to do away with this problem over a period of time.

Apart from destroying families, drug abuse causes lot of stress and strain to the neighborhood, the county and to the country at large. It also causes economic loss to the family, society and the nation at large. Think of the colossal loss of man hours caused by drug abuse, especially among youngsters who are the most productive of all the age groups of people. According to some estimates around 3.5 million people in this country are have admitted to being sufferers of drug abuse. This indeed is a huge figure and if they are economically active and are generating income for society it would go a long way in taking the country forward.

Drug abuse has to be fought together by all sections of society because it is no longer a problem restricted to a few families. It has spread its poisonous fangs almost to every nook and corner of this country and hence it should be tackled seriously. Mere lip service and lecturing alone will not help. Parents should be educated more on this problem so that they can nip it in the bud.

The American Dream Eclipsed – What Should We Teach Our Kids About The States Struggle To Stay Internationally Relevant?

It is no secret that we are in a time of great turmoil in the United States today. Some would say even that perhaps this is the beginning of the end in terms of the United States having a position of hegemonic power on the international stage, simply because of the rise of other powers in our wake. The preceding statement is a bit of a harsh view, but it’s obvious that a few things are changing in this country of ours.
Our economy is not what it once was even in comparison to some other troubled nations.
The life expectancy rate is lower than many westernized nations, and for various reasons, has been falling as of late
We are still struggling with issues of tolerance in the post-civil rights movement era
Our government is not as transparent as it should be, and some would say the two party system needs changing.
Health care is an expensive proposition, which leaves many under-served, and yet still more unsatisfied for various reasons.
Depending on the poll being analyzed, 40% or more of people no longer believe in the existence of the American Dream.

Those may be startling to read, but the bigger question is, what then in the midst of this time do we tell our children? That question is supremely loaded and every family will have their own answer, but finding an age appropriate balance between the reality of the situation, the basis of this country’s ideals, and the ways in which other countries operate is probably the best way to handle this kind of thing.

If your children are being made to feel negatively about their country, acknowledge their feelings, and then show them the other side of the story, which always exists. As a parent, you can also use these sorts of discussions to open up the world of international politics, globalism, and how other nations deal with the very same issues.
